The EDA is a public group ran by the official DriftWorks and Team Tein. Set up not very long ago, the EDA has not been active due to it being in test stages and work commencing on slowly. Now both Me and Brabosan are working together to improve the EDA and get it up and running smoothly.
The EDA, European Drift Alliance may, to you, sound European ONLY! but it isn't. Any teams can be members of the EDA from anywhere (EDA and EDA International) and as well as that any teams not in the EDA can still request for a link to be put up on the "Other Teams" page of the main website just by asking.
Basically we are here to try and get the drift scene closer together other than being separated into different groups of people (noobs, fun drifters, pro's and so on) as it means we can all communicate a bit more and keep the drift scene alive. I have seen it get close to dying out sometimes but hopefully it wont anymore. Our 32 Slot European Drift Alliance server will help that a lot too with a mouse user friendly drift insim that you can toggle on and off by typing !drift and clicking yes/no. (insim on Rockstar Drift Server).
Very soon i will set up a forum for the EDA meaning we can make/share eda skins or anything like that, give and receive updates and so on...
I would like to thank 45// Spec for arranging the European Drift Alliance and LFS EDC server hosting and judging the LFS EDC series, [NGT] for hosting our 2 new 32 slot servers :
Name : European Drift Alliance
Name : LFS EDC
and Alex, Leader of the official Rockstar Energy Drink Drift Team for the EDA Insim (soon seen on EDA).
this pack is amazing and i will recommend all to download this! i have used it since its first stages and it always gives me a "wow!" feeling everytime i see it.
Nice Work Okachan!
(by the way - put a download link before people flame!)
this, in my opinion is a good idea, but on percentage wise out of 100% i would give a 60-40 advantage to this being a bad idea...
as people have mentioned here - what about the people without a clutch pedal? I mean, its possible to still use clutch by having a button (like i do) but its easier to have auto clutch on sometimes.
E.G : I currently have to put up with a Logitech Driving Force EX, its 180 degrees and has Accelerator and Brake Pedals ONLY. It has paddle shifters, and on the front is based on a ps2 controller (as its for PS2/PC originally).
Its easier to have auto-clutch as really once fully setup with all your buttons, the only button left free is in an awkward position.
I wont complain though, just thought i would add my opinion to this as i am a "Crappy Wheel" victim
(off topic : I WANT MY G25 WORKING)(and if this post is crappy or not making sense - its 5am)
maybe next year you could decide to come up north? Teesside Karting to be exact - longest and fastest kart track in the UK... 30 karts on track, full 2 mile track is about £55 depending on number of drivers (30 karts means your all out for the full hour together) or theres some other things too...
BTW : i am currently making layouts to match yesterdays British National Championship Autotest round in Hartlepool, will start uploading very soon to a new thread!
1. You cannot have a motorbike speedway as its cars
2. Its on road!
3. Brakes are on LFS
4. It would have to go right instead of left due to start position...
I know all of this, and i suppose many of you will think its boring. But yes i have made a Tarmac speedway. now it is NOT a Nascar ring, as Kyoto Ring is there for it, and is terribly boring, it IS on the other hand, a DRIFT speedway. Meaning to taccle it at a good speed you pretty much need to slide it. I have made it wide enough for 4 FZ5's meaning most if not all cars will fit fine when racing. SPEEDWAY is 4 riders/drivers at a time for you who didn't know!
go towards box/line at an angle, lock handbrake on (with clutch in rwd) let back end swing round and just before/in box let car roll back but make sure you catch the front end before it swings round to stick you into a 360 spin.
pretty easy when known - and in real life too as u know i know:P
very very very good video here! Love the HD, the FPS is amazing and definatly giving praises to the driver for doing a perfect "autotest" run!
After the re-boosting of driftworks, when getting our first 24/7 server, we lost it again within 2 months due to development in 42d requiring the server for themselves. We still thank them for the time we were able to have the server for. Thanks Guys.
After this we teamed up with Team Tein. Over the last month and a bit we have had a great time with tein and a lot of fun is certain! But now we have been offered to re-open the DriftWorks.com server with partnership of DA (Drift Australia).
Although they are a newly opened team, they have helped teams in a wide variety of things... We did not ask for a server, they came to us asking if we wanted a server and partnership with them.
Of course i took up the offer on behalf of DriftWorks and now we are once again running on a DriftWorks.com 24/7 server!!!
i just wanted to make this thread to give a HUGE HUGE HUGE thanks to DA and wish them the very best of luck in setting off there soon to be successful drift team!
Thanks ever so much, and hope to see everyone on DriftWorks.com once again!
IF you go to change sound on a car whilst spectating, if that car pits, the engine sound load box does not go off.
IF you press ok on it, the sound will be loaded onto your car, no matter what it is.
E.G : i was spectating a mate in the RAC and i went to put the gallardo sound on and he pitted. I pressed OK, left the pits ond now i have an awesome sounding fz5 xD
you couldnt take part anyway - its for s2 users only.
ALL rounds are on friday nights at 6pm GMT. Had to be moved back a day due to me working until 6 on weekends, and it may stop any crashing together with other competitions.
thanks.
Crabster.
EDIT : if the .tk address does not work - use the original webs.com please.
